He is currently hosting a selection of factual engineering and science TV series on the National Geographic TV channel in both the US and International territories. Timothy Bruce Shaw (born March 27, 1984) is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Penn State and he was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Shaw also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears and Tennessee Titans. College career Shaw was recruited out of Livonia Clarenceville High School as a running back. A three-star recruit, he decided to attend Penn State, spurning other scholarship offers from Big Ten schools such as Michigan and Michigan State. Shaw saw extensive playing time on special teams and began earning snaps on defense. He became a starter, playing alongside Bednarik Award winning linebackers Paul Posluszny and Dan Connor, on what many people consider the best Penn State linebacking corps of all time. Timothy Andrew Shaw (born November 8, 1957) is an American former Olympic medal-winning swimmer and water polo player. He swam at the 1976 Summer Olympics and played on the American team at the 1984 Summer Olympics. He is one of a handful of athletes to win Olympic medals in two different sports. Between 1974 and 1984, Shaw won two Olympic silver medals; three world championships; seven U.S. Amateur Athletic Union national titles; and three U.S. National Collegiate Athletic Association championships. In 1974 in space of four days Shaw broke Mark Spitz's 200-meter freestyle world record, Rick DeMont's 400-meter freestyle world record and Stephen Holland's 1500-meter freestyle world record. He won the 2008 Orange County’s Funniest Person Contest and was nominated as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2009 Man of the Year for his charitable work. In addition to these honors, he won 2nd Place in the 2008 Funniest Comic in Los Angeles Contest at the Hollywood Improv and is a finalist in the 2009 Funniest Comic in Los Angeles Contest. Tim Shaw (born 1964) is a Belfast-born sculptor and contemporary visual artist working in Cornwall UK. Tim Shaw was elected to be a Royal Academician in 2013 and won the Jack Goldhill Award for Sculpture at The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in 2015. Education Tim Shaw completed an art foundation course at Manchester Polytechnic and then a BA (Hons) Fine Art degree at Falmouth University. Major works In 2009 Shaw's sculpture ''Middle World'' was shortlisted for the Threadneedle Prize. From 2000 to 2004, Shaw was also working on a commission from The Eden Project for an installation that would span the entire vine exhibit in the Mediterranean Biome.
